This poster is not paper backed, it is in original form as issued from the studio - meaning, if you wish, the seen here - though totally as to be expected of a vintage movie poster and in my opinion fitting of its vintage status (such as the crease/fold lines) CAN be reduced to the point that they are nearly invisible through the linen backing process. Linen backing can preserve a piece, and (given the durability of the piece is increased) actually bolster value. The fold lines on this poster are slight, only visible when viewing close up. The first of three fold lines runs through the guitar bottom third, the second - just below Elvis’s portrait above “MGM Presents,” the third - right above Elvis’s eye. There is light staining at the bottom left of the poster (see photo above). This light staining starts left of the copyright mark, and travels along the bottom to the beginning of the “Country of Origin U.S.A” identifier. Design: What makes this poster so visually stunning, in my mind, are its exquisite colors. The colors are vibrant, solid, and remarkably unfaded over time. The illustrations within are incredibly detailed (the portrait of Elvis actually LOOKS like Elvis) and the still from the movie is incredibly sharp. Original Star Wars Soundtrack Poster 20th Century Fox Darth Vader Foil 1977You don't see many of these up for sale!This is an original promotional poster that was distributed to record stores, depicting Tom Jung's portrait of Darth Vader which was used for the back cover of the official Star Wars John Williams soundtrack album in 1977. It was printed onto thin silver mylar paper, giving it a cool shiny appearance. Reflections from the mylar make this difficult to photograph well, but I tried to show it accurately. The poster has been stored rolled, so I used a wooden magnetic poster hanger to display it for the photos because the edges kept rolling up. As this is a vintage item, there is handling wear on edges and some creasing that I tried to show in the photos. There is a tear on the bottom shown in the final photo.
